We warmly welcome you into a new realm of horsemanship, where we richly share the passion of horses and all that they so generously and openly share. Here at Flying with Horses the 6 magnificent horses live as naturally as possible, and are always free to choose to interact with people and lead the dance of each encounter.

Leanna Milward
Leanna has always been a passionate animal lover and intuitive empath, with a life-long passion towards horses. After studying twice with GaWaNi Ponyboy, a Cherokee Horsewhisperer, throughout 2003, and after extensive experience in energy healing and equine therapy, Leanna set up Flying with Horses in 2004 and began her career in Equine Facilitated Therapy and Horse Whispering. Horses continue to be Leanna's greatest inspiration, and she works together with her herd of horses to bring the powerful gift of these amazing beings to clients & students. Leanna is a certified Kinesiologist and Reiki Master and has been blessed to assist people through rehabilitation programmes with the healing help of horses, and also assists equine charities in rehabilitating their more sensitive equines.
The Horses...
Flying with Horses proudly presents it's most specialist members, the 6 horses who make up the herd. five native breed horses of varying age and background, including 2 magnificent Shire horses (now a rare breed), and recently rescued Summer, and Andalucian filly. Each of the horses offers their own unique skills in working with people of all abilities. Leanna rescued 3 of these horses from traumatic conditions, and all of the horses have worked together as a team to help each of them overcome their unsympathetic human encounters. Now Joseph (white Shire gelding), Jubilee (coloured cob gelding), Angel (chestnut cob mare), Blessing (bay Shire mare), Summer (Andalucian filly) and Cleo (ISH mare) are enjoying living as naturally as possible, living in their beautiful pasture as a herd.
Joseph
Meet Joseph, the gentle giant and wise leader of the FWH herd. Joseph is a 17 year young Shire gelding, who was the dream come true for Leanna when he became her very first horse just 6 years ago. Joseph is a master teacher of leadership and focusing energy and intent, and has been integral in assisting other horses that FWH has rescued and rehabilitated in refinding themselves. Joseph is a favourite of many due to his breathtaking beauty. He embodies wisdom and maturity, openheartedness and playfulness, and may be seen running off with visitor's caps if left unattended!
Angel
Angel was FWH's second blessing when she came to Leanna through a series of Divinely orchestrated synchronistic events that brought her to FWH instead of going to a market for sale from a dealers. Angel had been neglected for over a year and has experience of abuse and trauma in her life. Angel is an inspiration to many as she has reached out to humans to overcome her abuse and fears, and now works closely in assisting others to overcome theirs. Angel is a 15 year young cob mare, who carries strong and nurturing matriarchal energies. The most powerful energy healer of the herd, Angel often works energetically with clients by beaming waves of her healing love and energy while facing them head-on. Angel creates a safe place for people to find themselves again and overcome their fears.
Jubilee
Jubilee is a special treasure to behold, a calm, gentle and loving traditional gypsy cob gelding of 9 years. Jubilee is overflowing with admirable qualities, his favourite way to assist people is through visualising their highest potential as realised and he often works one-to-one with clients even asking Leanna to leave him and his person in peace for a while while he works his magic. A master of playfulness and cheekiness, Jubilee embodies friendliness and openess and resonates with a pure and loving heart.
Blessing
Blessing is our youngest equine member, a 8 year young Shire mare who has grown up with us and has matured into an awesomely powerful healer. Blessing brings many blessings wherever she goes, carrying a very high and pure vibration and fully balancing this with her tremendously strong physical presence. An open hearted being who calls forth the compassionate leader within from us humans, Blessing opens our hearts through her innocence and willingness which beam from her, although she also teaches us the importance of setting our personal boundaries and standing up for what we feel is right in our hearts.
Summer
Summer, our newest herd member, arrived in March 2011. On of 9 abandoned spanish horses left by their owner at a livery yard, Summer was the second last horse left to be rehomed, and it was our great pleasure to be able to offer her a loving home for life! Summer was kept in a field with 2 other fillies, and lacked the nurturing guidance of an adult horse, also missing out on basic handling from humans. Thankfully Summer is a confident young filly, who loves to take an interest in what's going on, loves attention and affection, and most of all, loves pushing boundares! Already participating in working with people on our courses, Summer has much to teach us, showing us where we need to take a more active and focused leadership role on our lives, especially in building trusting relationships.
Cleo
Cleo is a breathakingly beautiful mare who came to us all the way from Scotland this Summer, in June. A large, pure white and elegent mare, Cleo embodies incredible strength and a unique personality which enables her to connect with people in a very special way. Cleo is a gentle soul, with her ability to express herself clearly and openly. Already in her second week, Cleo decided she was ready to take part in one of our courses, and walked gently into the roundpen all by herself while I was teaching in there. Her bright light shines onto all who connect with her, and she is a fountain of healing and comfort for those iwho need it.
