"From a young age I was drawn to horses and when I was twelve years old my parents got me a 13hh bay pony called Amble aged 23 on loan, who to this day has a place in my heart. He taught me how to ride and through having him on loan I met my mare. She was born on 21st June 1989 and my parents brought her the following year as a yearling. Georgina or Beans as she is affectionately known, has been a large part of my life and together we have learnt a lot of the traditional ways. In December 2007 I got Rocky on loan, after spending 2 years trying to find the ‘one’ to compete in all disciplines. Between both horses I have learnt a lot about myself, riding and horses.
I trained and qualified as a British Horse Society Assistant Instructor in September 1994 aged 18, and worked on various types of yards over the years. I then changes careers, as I the yards that I worked on the horses were considered machines and not shown the love and respect they deserved. I began working in offices and eventually joined the Army in October 2000, but always kept my hand in with Beans and other horses I was offered to ride, or help out with and compete for my cap badge in Military events.
After going through a very challenging and turbulent few years, I met Leanna with whom I have trained with and started on the healing path with my 2 precious companions, together we have helped heal ourselves and each other. Now it is our time to help and heal others both horses and humans."
